Matthieu Lejeune Zurück
Prize-winner in numerous international competitions such as Bucarest, Florence, Trapani, Pörtschach in Austria, Douai and Guérande, Matthieu Lejeune performs regularly as soloist, as a member of the Duo Le Cann-Lejeune and the Trio Una Corda as well as other prestigious ensembles (Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Multilatérale, Galliano Septet…). His concert performances have taken him to the United States, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His passion for uniting different art forms has led him to initiate performances mixing dance, theatre and music, most notably with the company Arcal (Ni l’un ni l’autre, Le Pont des microludes, Les Epoux). He has performed alongside Alexandre Brussilovsky, Alexandre Tharaud, Eric-Maria Couturier, François Salque, Arkady Yanivker, Alain Brunier, Romano Pallotini, Sonia Wieder-Atherton. His discography includes several recordings for the labels Maguelone, Naïve, Triton and Quantum-classics.

A student of Roland Pidoux at the Paris Conservatoire, he graduated with honors in cello and chamber music, before undertaking postgraduate studies in both disciplines. A graduate of the Fondation Sasakawa, he studied for two years in the celebrated class of Frans Helmerson in Cologne, obtaining the Konzertexam diploma from the Hochschule. His experience has enriched through contact with important musical personalities such as Lynn Harrell (Verbier Festival & Academy), Bernard Greenhouse, Daria Hovora, Maurice Bourgue, Alain Meunier, Jorge Chaminé, André Gorog, Philippe Muller, Arto Noras …

Matthieu Lejeune has always aimed to strike a balance between his concert activity and teaching. After one year of collaboration with Philippe Muller at the Aulnay-sous-Bois Conservatory, he became professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, where he prepares his pupils for entry into the major european music schools (Paris Conservatory, Lyon Conservatory, Geneva HEM, Freiburg and Köln Hochschule).
