Václav Kunt, a graduate from JAMU in Brno, played first flute in the orchestra of the Janaček Opera, taught at conservatory in Brno (1976- 81), and was a solo flute player in Prague Chamber Orchestra without Conductor for 23 years.
As a solo player he has given concerts in many countries all over the world, among others in Germany, Austria, Spain, Croatia, Sweden, Norway, Italy, the USA, Canada, Japan. His artistic productions have been recorded on plenty of CDs (by Harmonia Mundi, Orfeo, Supraphon, Music Vars, GZ) and he has made a lot of radio recordings.
An important part of his artistic activity consists of chamber music, whether with piano, harpsichord, harp, guitar or in different combinations of instruments. Apart from the mentioned artistic activities, he is professor and vice dean at Music faculty JAMU in Brno and he has been teaching at Jan Neruda Music Secondary School in Prague.
