Zsolt Fejérvári (Budapest) graduated at Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music as a student of Zoltán Tibay and Péter Kubina. Since 1994 he has been a principal double-bass player of the Budapest Festival Orchestra, in the meantime he worked for Suisse Romande (Switzerland) for 3 years. He is regular performer of Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra and UMZE Chamber Ensemble, Kodály, Auer and Akadémia String Quartets. In 1995 Sir George Solti invited him to participate as one of the 45 members of the first concert of World Orchestra for Peace, founded for the 50th anniversary of the UNO. In 1996 he was winner of the 'Giovanni Bottesini' international contra-bass competition in Cremona. In 2003, 2007 and 2009 he was one of the winners of the Sándor Végh Competition of the Festival Orchestra.
